medical assistant I’m taking course for it now..
Veronica, you should be a certified M.A. It will be a segue way for you in the alllied health care field.
You not only will work the front desk at a medical office or hospital setting, you will also draw blood, take vitals and assist the doctor with patients.
My friend just got hired at a local hospital as an Med Asst and she got offered $16.00 (salaries vary from state to state)
You do the math, girl!
administration is more lucrative, but management positions have their share of problems -salary vs hourly, overtime, discontent with employees, etc. medical assistant is a great job that can lead to different opportunities. one involves hands on patient care and the other does not. this is a personal decision. talk to the advisement counselor at your college.
