Whats the easiest way for a medical assistant to get certified in phlebotomy?
Puzzled One asked:
I was told in school that a medical assistant could just take the exam and not do the training for it, is that true? i dont want to pay the full amount and spend weeks in a class for something as easy as playing duck duck goose.
ok i guess the people answering my question arent that versed in phlebotomy, ive been doing it for years and it’s really easy for most people ive worked with. this has nothing to do with, compassion, this has to do with business, would a school teach want to pay a thousand dollars and spend weeks in a class to learn how to divide numbers by 3? please only answer if you understand me, if not why bother?

hope you never draw my blood you have no compassion why are you in the medical field it is people like you that make serious mistakes that cost people their health and well being get a new job you inconciderate horrible person you are the duck quack get it dummy
Wow – duck, duck, goose… never heard it put like that and never have I ever seen anyone with the natural blood drawing skill that you seem or at least claim to possess… and I’ve been helping train med techs, lab asst, med asst, and phlebo’s to draw blood for the past 10 years…
unless you are fully trained in drawing blood (including babies, heelsticks, and arterial blood gases) i would suggest taking the class. but for the specific information about certification, check out the website,.
