What are the chances for Medical Assistant jobs in NH/MA?
1st time gardener asked:
I’ve just completed a certificate in Medical Coding and am waiting for an internship to graduate. I am realizing the potential to find a job in this field w/out experience is not a reality. I am debating taking the credits I’ve earned and transferring them into a Medical Assistant degree. What are the chances of finding employment in the NH/MA area without experience as a new MA? I have 1 year experience as a home health aid over 10 years ago, prior training as an EMT (no job), and minimal medical billing experience as a volunteer. My last 8 years of employment were in special eduction as a bus driver with 1 year experience as a special education aid with autistic teens. Should I invest the money into this field or give up? I am in my 30s and time is running out for long education plans or a long career. I will have to work full time while attending school. Thank you for any advice, especially if working in the medical field.
