My chances of getting into medical school?

When I finish my BS in Physician Assistant I plan on working in Cardiology so that I could put it on my Medical School Resume and also do research in Chemistry and volunteer. Would the work I do as a PA greatly increase my chance of getting into a Medical School in the US? Given that my gpa and mcat is pretty good.

I would think that it would greatly increase your chances of getting into med school, particularly if your GPA and MCAT scores are also good. As a PA, you will already be working in the field, so you will both have more medical knowledge already and be familiar with how hard one has to work in the medical field.
