medical lab assistant or dental assistant?

For general info: and search ‘medical assistants’, ‘clinical laboratory technologists’, ‘dental assistants’ or such.

I’ve heard that there are not supposed to be too many jobs for the (clinical) medical assistant though perhaps more so in diagnostic labs themselves. I would go with one’s passion and the salary second.

The dental assistant needs a good short-term memory as the dentist may give oral instructions as well as having good manual (use of hands) dexterity. Perhaps look at some dental books and photos of those with severe dental disease which may be found at the local community college that offers dental assistant (or hygiene albeit hygiene is quite a different curriculum than assistant) as a major or the local dental school library.

Please steer clear of those private $$ career schools and instead opt for the county vo-tech school or community college (perhaps non-credit course) provided that it’s accredited within the industry.
