i want to go to school for medical assistant?

I live in las vegas and i want to get enrolled in school (pima medical institute) l to become a medical assistant, not for a career just to get started and all because regular jobs are just not cutting it any more. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about once i finish, such as is it going to be hard to find a medical assistant job here in las vegas? does anyone have any pointers or suggestions to help me out? I just don’t want to waist my time training for something i might not even get hired to do. thanks alot.
