Is going into a Specialist filed like OBGYN,Pulmonary Lung, Dermatology, Dental Assisting, or Orthopedics better for a Certified Medical Assistant?

I heard CMAs generally will make more money in a specialized physicians Group than they would at a family practice.
Of course experience plays a big roll to.
I leave in Atlanta GA and the min Salary for a new CMA in a none specialists Group
is between 12-15
I know Of other CMA in the specialized physicians group listed above that are making 16 and 18.
So is it true across the board that CMAs working at a specialized physicians group will most likely make more than those who are not?

No. Because a MA job is the same regardless of what specialty they work for. In the MAs scope of practice, they do not do anything different: they still do vitals, put patients into rooms, handle the front office, assist with procedures etc–the basics are the same, doesn’t really matter what the MD is doing. However, the MA will make a salary based upon what the doc/group can afford–so if the group is a specialty that makes alot more , they MAY pay their MA more; or not.
