Medical assistants in this day and age are an important part of core family health care. They’re considered to be a respected force who oversees the smooth sailing of the whole medical unit. Medical assistant employment includes a wide range of tasks from clinical to administrative tasks, the medical assistants are working directly under the guidance of a physician. The medical industry and medical assistants in particular are one of the fastest growing jobs in the world. All of the work of a professional in medicine is going to require a person to remain active in the workplace and constantly learning and training. Even with the current market situation, a medical assistants salary can avail. The amount that you’re going to get paid depends on a lot of different things. Here’s some of the things that could affect your pay rate. No sweat though, everyone that seeks medical assistant employment is going to have pretty good income levels.Different employers, different wages.
1. The first and foremost is the employer. Statistics show that somewhere around 63% of the medical professionals work in doctors offices, 12% in other medical practitioners, and 13% in hospitals, while most of the rest work with outpatients and residential clinics. In addition to the job, the specific task assigned to an employee can affect the rate of pay. Everything from simple everyday duties like answering the phone, updating medical charts to clinic based duties like preparing the patient for the medical exam and sometimes even perform a treatment procedure on the patient. The specific task that you’re doing will directly play into how much you’re getting paid each month. A medical assistant with the proper certifications may also choose to work in the laboratory sterilizing instruments and helping the practitioner with his research including in the library and on the Internet.

2. Geographical location can also play a big role in the pay rate of a new medical assistant. Generally the salary made by a medical professional what is living in the city will be more because of the higher cost of living. Anyone planning to practice in rural areas should expect to receive less pay. Statistics show that New York City offers the most pay out of any state for medical assistants. Life in the big city can be expensive!

I am trying to decide to go to school for Medical Assistant or for Medical Office Administration.
There is a two year waiting period for nursing as well as physical therapist assistant and many other programs at the local colleges.
The two programs that I can get into are
Medical Office Administration
and
Medical Assistant
The school offers a 12 month class for Medical Office Administration and a 16 month class for Medical Assistant.
Neither one offers a degree but a Certificate.
This is an accredited College that is available for Pell Grants from FASFA.
Brookstone College of Business in Greensboro North Carolina and it’s not a cheap school at
$16,800 for Medical Assistant
$12,000 for Medical Office Administration
There is also an internship near the end of the school program. and a job placement specialist and so far all of their graduates have all got jobs.
Right now I am just trying to choose between the two.
The person I spoke with at the school told me that Medical Assistant’s make more money, and men in the field are in high demand.
The problem is that everything I see online tells me that Medical Office Administration makes more money.
I have searched Salary.com and a few other places.
Has anyone here worked at either, or know someone who has.
I am not planning on doing any additional education years later to become a nurse or anything so whatever I choose would be a the career path I go into.
My questions are these
1) Which position makes more money?
2) Which position would be easier to get?
3) What is a typical day like for these two positions?

Can anybody give me a fair but correct idea about the basic salary of Indian railway medical officer of any post; preferably all the posts (Assistant divisional medical officer, divisional medical officer, chief medical officer, etc.) ?
