I live in Michigan and I am very interested in going to school to become a Medical Office Specialist. But I don’t want to waste my time or money going into a field that I am going to have a difficult time finding a job in once I am finished. I’ve been comtemplating on going to school to become a Medical Assistant instead because at least that is a common field and is probably not as difficult to get a job in once finished with the program although my heart is really into becoming a Medical Office Specialist , i don’t want to go into that field if I am going to have a difficult time finding employment once I am finished. Can someone please offer me some advice on what I should do?

Can someone with a substantiated case of child abuse become a nurse, or medical assistant. This event occured many years ago while in the midst of a very messy divorce. My now ex decided to call child services because I spanked my daughter and left a bruise on her bottom. This was my 4th child and the youngest and in the 14 years that we were married I had maybe spanked any of my children a handful of times. He reported it out of spite because I had asked for a divorce. Anyhow, it was founded, but I was never convicted, my child was never removed from my care. No felonies or charges exist on my record, just the substantiation. Also is there a way for me to get this removed from my record.
